When VietAsia Semiconductor was born 16 years ago, the domestic package and loading board industry was still in the stage of simple replication. "At that time an Israeli company came to China with design drawings looking for a partner, and eventually chose us." Deng Xiaofeng said, "All we had to do was to make the design on paper into a product."

Obscure development documents, long English-language materials, few precedents to draw on, and outdated production equipment ...... did not stop Deng Xiaofeng's research, but were replaced by a more diligent attitude and a vision to learn from others.

"In those days, the heart held a 'ruthlessness' against itself, vowing to make the product." Deng Xiaofeng recalled, "At that time, the six of us often walked into the R&D building at 7am and left only at 11pm or 12pm, just to make progress faster and faster."

The basement facing north does not see the sun all year round, the ceiling is covered with all kinds of pipes, although the conditions are difficult, but Deng Xiaofeng and other five people, after more than three months of professional struggle, through countless attempts, hard to abstract theoretical design drawings into concrete physical, subversive industry packaging substrate "coreless" technology transfer success, his dream has come true.

In 2010, Yueya Semiconductor became the first company in China to achieve mass production of "core-less" package loading boards by using the "copper pillar layer method".

From its difficult beginnings, VietAsia has grown to its current stride, with technology development undoubtedly being the biggest driver of development.

"There is really a huge difference between the sealed loading plate industry 20 years ago and now. 10 years ago, in this field, China could only be described as a manufacturing power, and many high-end technologies had to be imported. This status quo always spurs me on to keep learning and innovating." Deng Xiaofeng said.

Nantong Yueya (Yueya II Factory)

In 2018, Nantong Yueya (Yueya Factory II) started preparatory construction, planning to produce FCBGA carrier boards with higher technology content and integration.

Rational design of product lines, commissioning of intelligent automation equipment, introduction of key technologies ...... A key task fell on Deng Xiaofeng's shoulders.

In March 2021, Deng Xiaofeng made his way north to Nantong. In order to get into production as soon as possible, he was stuck in the factory almost 24 hours a day, constantly adjusting parameters and continuously tackling problems, finally achieving mass production of FCBGA carrier boards in June 2021.

A factory or a project from nothing to something, from something to something big, from something big to something excellent, there must have been confusion, distress and hardship in between. "I think that in this world there is no one who is smarter than anyone else, only who is more serious than anyone else." When talking about the difficulties encountered, Deng Xiaofeng just said it lightly.

XiaoDou understands that, at present, Yueya Semiconductor has independently developed and mastered 5 major patented core technologies and participated in the formulation of 2 national standard plans. According to statistics, as of September this year, Yueya Semiconductor has 195 authorised core technology patents, covering China, the United States, South Korea, Japan, Israel, China Taiwan and other countries and regions .

The deeper his understanding of his work, the stronger Deng Xiaofeng's "love" for the industry. Nowadays, as the technical leader of the "Yuexin Semiconductor Project" in Yueya Plant 3, he is leading his team in research and development of new technologies and new products.

"Looking back at the past decade, Doumen's new generation of information technology industry has progressed from a 'blank sheet of paper' to a sudden surge, attracting a number of leading enterprises to settle in the industry, further increasing the concentration of the industry, from a flower to a 'hundred flowers'.
